Fuel surcharge was reduced by 19 paise per unit by state government owned power companies.

More than 1.40 crore customers will benefit.

The reduction will provide a relief of Rs 365 crore to power consumers.

The state government has taken this important decision in the interest of power consumers.

An estimated Rs 356 crore will be given to consumers in three months.

Reducing the cost of power generation will directly benefit power consumers.

Earlier, fuel surcharge was levied at Rs 2 per unit for the July 2020 to September 2020 quarter, which will now be levied at Rs 1.81 per unit for the October 2020 to December 2020 quarter.

That is a reduction of 19 paise per unit in fuel surcharge.

The main reason for the decline in fuel surcharge is that during this quarter, the state government has purchased gas at cheaper rates in the interest of consumers and has produced gas-based power, which has resulted in lower power generation costs, directly benefiting consumers.

This will reduce the electricity bills of the consumers.

રાજ્ય સરકાર હસ્તકની વીજ કંપનીઓ દ્વારા ફ્યુઅલ સરચાર્જમાં પ્રતિ યુનિટ 19 પૈસાનો ઘટાડો કરાયો.

1.40 કરોડથી વધુ ગ્રાહકોને થશે લાભ.

આ ઘટાડાના કારણે વીજ ગ્રાહકોને રૂપિયા 365 કરોડની રાહત મળશે.

રાજ્ય સરકારે વીજ ગ્રાહકોના હિતમાં આ મહત્વનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે.

ત્રણ મહિનાના અંદાજે 356 કરોડની રાહત ગ્રાહકોને થશે.

વીજ ઉત્પાદન ખર્ચ ઓછો થતા તેનો સીધો લાભ વીજ ગ્રાહકોને થશે.

અગાઉ જુલાઈ 2020 થી સપ્ટેમ્બર 2020 ના ત્રિમાસિક ગાળામાં ફ્યુઅલ સરચાર્જ પ્રતિ યુનિટ 2 રૂપિયા લેખે વસૂલાતો હતો , જે હવે ઓક્ટોબર 2020 થી ડીસેમ્બર 2020 નાં ત્રિમાસિક સમયગાળા દરમિયાન 1.81 રૂપિયાના દરે વસૂલવામાં આવશે.

એટલે કે ફ્યુઅલ સરચાર્જમાં પ્રતિ યુનિટ 19 પૈસાનો ઘટાડો કરાયો.

ફ્યુઅલ સરચાર્જ ઘટવાનું મુખ્ય કારણ એ છે કે આ ત્રિમાસિક ગાળા દરમિયાન રાજ્ય સરકારે સસ્તા દરે ગેસ ગ્રાહકોના હિતમાં ખરીદ્યો છે અને ગેસ આધારિત વીજ ઉત્પાદન કર્યું છે જેને લીધે વીજ ઉત્પાદન ખર્ચ ઓછો થયો છે તેનો સીધો લાભ રાજ્ય સરકારે ગ્રાહકોને આપ્યો છે.

આનો લાભ ગ્રાહકોને મળતા વીજ બીલ ઓછું થશે.
