Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the Dream Project Girnar ropeway from Delhi on Saturday.
ડ્રીમ પ્રોજેક્ટ ગિરનાર રોપ-વે નું વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી શનિવારે દિલ્હીથી ઈ લોકાર્પણ કરશે.
The entire program is to be held on October 24 at Junagadh in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani. After the inauguration, Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani will enjoy a ropeway trip.
People are likely to be allowed to sit on the ropeway from Sunday.
After Narendra Modi inaugurated the Girnar ropeway in 2007, today the ropeway is fully realized.
The ropeway constructed at a cost of Rs 130 crore is full of many modernities.
The Girnar ropeway has become the longest 2.13 km temple ropeway in Asia.
Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi will unveil the ropeway on October 7.
Then Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, Energy Minister Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Tourism Minister Shri Jawaharbhai Chavda and MP from Junagadh Gir Somnath Shri Rajeshbhai Chudasama will enjoy the rope way trip on the first day.
However people will be allowed to sit in the ropeway from Sunday. Preparations are underway to allow only 4 people to sit in a trolley instead of 8 due to the Corona epidemic.
No official announcement has been made about the ticket at present but it is learned that a return ticket will cost Rs 700 and an additional Rs 100 will have to be paid for investing more than an hour at Girnar.
Ticket rates will be announced on the day of launch.

- તારીખ 24 ઓક્ટોબરના રોજ જૂનાગઢ ખાતે રાજ્યના મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી વિજયભાઈ રૂપાણી ની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમ થવાનો છે ત્યારે લોકાર્પણ બાદ મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી વિજયભાઈ રૂપાણી રોપ વેની સફર માણશે.
- લોકોને રોપવેમાં બેસવા માટે રવિવારથી મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવે તેવી શક્યતા છે.
- 2007માં નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ ગિરનાર રોપ-વેની ખાતમુહૂર્ત કર્યા બાદ આજે રોપવે સંપૂર્ણ રીતે સાકાર થઇ ગયેલ છે.
- ૧૩૦ કરોડના ખર્ચે તૈયાર થયેલ ropeway અનેક આધુનિકતાઓથી ભરેલો છે.
- એશિયા નો સૌથી લાંબો 2.13 કિલોમીટરનો temple ropeway એટલે ગિરનાર રોપ-વે બની ગયો છે.
- વડાપ્રધાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદી ૨૪ ઓકટોબરના રોજ આ રોપવે નું ઈ લોકાર્પણ કરશે.
- ત્યારબાદ મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી વિજયભાઈ રૂપાણી, ઉર્જા મંત્રી શ્રી સૌરભભાઇ પટેલ, પ્રવાસન મંત્રી શ્રી જવાહરભાઈ ચાવડા અને જુનાગઢ ગીર સોમનાથ ના સાંસદ શ્રી રાજેશભાઇ ચુડાસમા આ ચાર મહત્ત્વના લોકો જ પ્રથમ દિવસે રોપ વેની સફર માણશે.
- જોકે લોકો માટે રવિવારથી રોપવેમાં બેસવા ની મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવશે. તેમાંય ખાસ કરીને કોરોના મહામારી ને કારણે એક ટ્રોલીમાં 8 યાત્રિકોના બદલે 4 લોકોને જ બેસવાની મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવે તેવી તૈયારી ચાલી રહી છે.
- હાલ ટિકિટ અંગે કોઇ સત્તાવાર જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી નથી પરંતુ રિટર્ન ટિકિટ 700 રૂપિયા અને ગિરનાર પર એક કલાકથી વધુ રોકાણ કરવા માટે 100 રૂપિયા વધુ ચૂકવવા પડશે તેવું જાણવા મળી રહ્યું છે.
- ટિકિટના દર લોકાર્પણના દિવસે જાહેર કરવામાં આવશે.
